On this Day.

On July 14 th 1960 a meeting was held in Hearne's Garage in Passage to form a club from the Passage and surrounding area and this is where it all officially began for the present club. From the minutes of that meeting still held by the club and as seen below, the following officers were elected: Chair Rev Fr Wm Phelan, Vice Chair Dick Walsh, Crooke, Sec Dick Donnelly Passage, Treasurer Peter Power Faithlegg, Committee: Gus McCarthy N.T. Passage School , Paddy Gough Faithlegg, James Duffin Cheekpoint, Edward Power Coolbunia, Berky Connors Faithlegg, Willie Hearne Passage, Pierce Carey do, William Walsh do. Selectors: Paddy Gough, Jim Duffin, Wm Walsh , Pierce Carey, Rev Fr Phelan as Chair and Gus Mc Carthy Team Manager. Paddy Gough informed the meeting the club could use one of his fields No decision on a name for the club was reached at that meeting. Our round three clash with De La Salle will go ahead in Walsh Park at 18:30hrs on Saturday August 13th. The group placings will then determine the preliminary quarter final ties.

Victories against St Saviours and Naomh Pol have secured runners up spot in group1 of the JJ Murphy sponsored Eastern Junior Hurling championship. The quarter final is listed for Thursday August 18th

We have reached the knockout stages of the Gerry Kennedy Crash Repairs Eastern Junior Hurling championship. Victories against Fenor and Kilmacthomas saw us finish second in Group 1. Fixture: Sunday
